I had no idea Wood Storks are endangered. I saw so many around Orlando last month, I just figured they are a standard sighting there. So I can vouch for their numerous return to the Orlando area!

On a nature cruise up the North Fork of the St. Lucie River late last spring, a couple breeding areas of mangroves were packed with preteen wood storks.

Tell other birders about your favorite places, your favorite field guides, your favorite bird-related books, etc.
