Identifying Species

I live in San Diego CA and I saw a flock of birds that I’ve never seen before. They were about Dove size, bright green like a Parrot, black mask across the eyes, a point at the back of the head, and a black stripe on the outside of the wing. I’ve looked in all my bird books, gone to every website I could find and I’ve had no luck. I don’t have a picture of them, they were in a tree 100 yards away and I was looking through my spotters scope. Any help would be great.
