Moving sightings on the map
|
|
The iPhone app frequently misplaces the sightings. Because they are entered in daylight, it is sometimes difficult to see where the map has believes you are. I often find I get home, log-in, look at the map and find it has my sightings misplaced, often significantly. It would be nice to be able to edit the position on the map, without having to delete and re-enter each sighting. Frankly, when I put down 15 or so, I am getting to the point where I delete them altogether because I can’t be bothered to re-enter them all, but I would make the effort to drag the map pin. |

Yes – I have had this problem too. At first, I thought sightings I entered on the iPhone just didn’t show up at all… |

Thanks for the feedback. Birdpost is really at the fore-front of what’s possible when it comes to user-generated mapping technology. The ability to post a sighting on the map and then “edit” that sighting by dragging it to another location isn’t there quite yet, although a variation of that process is accomplished through the “unmapped sightings” feature on the site. We will continue to push to improve the technology on the site to make it more intuitive and less cumbersome. Keep the feedback coming! |

I hope you see this as constructive comment rather than criticism! This whole concept is perfect – it just needs more exposure and people involved to be a tremendous resource. |

Not at all! We sincerely love the feedback, both good and bad. |
Tell us any ideas you have about how we can improve or simplify Birdpost!
