I would like to use Birdpost on my iPod Touch.

Carol – iPod touch doesn’t have internal GPS functionality like the iPhone, hence the inability to create the device. You can always log into the general Birdpost site on your touch, but the app won’t work (at least not yet!).

Ben – understood and thanks for the reply!

But the iPod Touch DOES have some pretty decent location functionality. Many many other (very popular) apps don’t discriminate against the Touch and their apps perform very successfully. Maps, for example, always finds my locations within a block. Urbanspoon, Flixster, StreetEasy, Taxi, CityTransit, SitorSquat, etc all use the Touch and do a great job. I know you likely want to protect the accuracy of the sightings, but it’s really disappointing to not be able to use the BirdPost app on the Touch. Please please please make it available to us – you’ll have some significant growth and good accuracy to boot.

Thanks, Ben – great site!

Tell us any ideas you have about how we can improve or simplify Birdpost!
